Due to rising inflation, it is no longer proving to be a cheap deal for vehicle owners to drive an electric car along with a petrol and diesel car because the prices of petrol, diesel and electricity are increasing day by day, in such a situation CNG gas is proving to be a much more economical option. 

This is the reason why sales of CNG vehicles are increasing in the auto market. Seeing the increasing demand for CNG vehicles in the market, vehicle manufacturers are now prominently including CNG variants in their models. 

So, Following the footsteps of Tata Motors, Hyundai India has also launched the Exeter SUV with new twin CNG cylinder tank technology. 

This Exeter CNG duo will be available in three variants S, SX and the recently launched SX Night Edition, with a starting price of Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The South Korean car manufacturer claims that the new Hyundai Xterra Hy-CNG Duo will be able to cover a distance of 27.1 km in one kilogram of CNG. 

The biggest feature of this CNG car is that it has 2 CNG tanks of 30 liter capacity each. This means that by combining both these tanks, this car will have a fuel capacity of 60 liters. 

The Hy-CNG Duo model of this compact SUV from Hyundai will also get a 1.2-litre, petrol engine and this engine is capable of generating 69ps of power and 95.2Nm of torque.

Due to the inclusion of two tanks, the boot space capacity of this car has also increased. This will provide the facility to keep more luggage.

Many advanced features have been included in the Hy-CNG Duo model of Hyundai Exter launched in the CNG segment in terms of safety. 

Features like dual dash camera, 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold control and rear camera will prove to be helpful in making this car much safer. 

Apart from this, features like 15-inch alloy wheels, keyless-entry, auto climate control, 8-inch touchscreen, wireless charger, steering-mounted control, voice-controlled sunroof have been provided in this CNG car. At the same time, the design of this car is similar to its petrol variant. Advanced technology like bi-projector auto headlamps with LED DRLs has been added to its design language.

In the Indian market, Hyundai Exter's Hy-CNG Duo CNG car has been introduced for sale at a starting price of Rs 8.50 lakh to Rs 9.38 lakh ex-showroom. With this, this car will compete with Tata Punch CNG equipped with dual-cylinder technology in its CNG segment.
